“ Loved this place! My husband and i went here during our stay in freeport to get some breakfast burritos and it was amazing. Also had coffee, the salsa (red and green) were also good. Will definitely come back to try other dishes on the menu. The beef in the burrito reminds me of the filipino tapa. Really good! Very friendly and nice staff. ”
“ Homemade very large flour tortillas. Cooked meat just right. The plates come with rice (excellent) and beans with Pico or salsa and potatoes. Lots of food. Had to take some home. Drinks from Mexico. Ladies greeted you going in and out. Will return. ”
“ ((This was a Door Dash order)) I got the Mexican BBQ and those were the best tacos I've ever had. The meat literally melted like butter, the toppings were fresh, and the totillas were made perfectly. The beans and rice were also delicious and packed so much flavor. I will def be ordering again! ”
“ I was in Freeport with my daughter and asked if she wanted a taco. I was prepared to go to 7/11 where I usually go when in Freeport. She said yes I want a taco, but we have to go to Lupitas. I had never heard of it but was hungry so I agreed and Thank God I did. Quite possibly the Best breakfast taco I've had. It was fresh, hot and delicious. Will definitely eat there again. ”
“ I’ve tried plenty of different plates and tacos from here. The service, good quality and atmosphere are always great! Get the green salsa if you like spicy. ”
“ So delicious! Definitely my new favorite taqueria in Freeport. The prices are a tiny bit high (due to inflation), but you get a great amount of food and it is all worth it. Great horchata! ”
“ I can't speak about anything other than the breakfast taco's - but I can tell you that if the rest of this place's food is as good as their breakfast taco's - then you are in for a real treat!!! Very clean, very friendly staff, excellent portion sizes for the price.....and the taste is authentic and amazing!! So a few thoughts if you are considering their breakfast taco's like we were. They are BIG!! I have a big appetite, but was honestly pretty full off of 1. They have some that cost more and are considered breakfast burritos, and they are sized quite a bit larger. We had a mix of their traditional breakfast tacos as well as the breakfast burritos - and it was all excellent! Other reviewers mentioned "The Hippo" which was indeep pretty good. My absolute favorite though was "The Chevy". It cost more but The Chevy was worth every penny. Its a meat lover's dream and was like nothing I have ever eaten for breakfast! I regret forgetting to take a photo of The Chevy as in my opinion it was the star of the breakfast, but I did take photos of some of the others (bacon and egg) and The Hippo. Honestly you can't go wrong at this place for breakfast with any of the items from what I could tell. They will give you a red salsa - that I highly recommend putting on your breakfast tacos/burritos. Its a perfect blend of flavors, and complements everything well (not too spicy / just right). Their tortillas are also up there with the best I have ever had. Again very nice, clean, easy to get in and out of, and excellent food. I highly recommend if you are in the Freeport / Surfside area and in the mood for Mexican food! A ”
“ Just started working in the area had to be in at 4:45am and everything I went to was closed or didn't have breakfast, even the Bucees on the corner has NO breakfast of any kind before 5am. I was loosing hope and I spotted Lupita's small blinking sign and hurried in. They open at 4am, so thats a great start on its own. But it gets better, the place is clean, cozy and whoevers Mama and Abuela are in there cooking, you are blessed. Everything on the menu looked and sounded amazing. It was hard to narrow it down but I ordered a Fajita Loka and and I can't remember the name but it's Barbacoa, potatoes, avocado, eggs, cheese on a corn tortilla. These lovely ladies made that corn tortilla fresh right there while I watched. Pressed it out and tossed it on the griddle. I absolutely did not need 2 tacos, I had no idea they were this big. These tacos were fresh made right in front of me, they are massive, so flavorful and their red and green sauce are just as incredible. I managed to finish half of each and Iam not at all upset to finish the rest for my lunch. I definitely will be going back I want to try everything they had on the menu. I highly recommend you do the same, just know it will be 5-15 minute wait for your order. I did see people calling ahead and picking up so that maybe a good option if your heading to work and don't have time to watch Abuela throwing down on the griddle. ”
